Carys the Yogi

About 3 weeks ago Carys and I started Mom and Baby yoga (thank you to Lauren and her blog for introducing me to Itsy Bitsy Yoga and our yoga studio!) and we LOVE it! I've been a huge fan of yoga for awhile now, and I love that I can share my passion for yoga with Carys. There are ribbons dangling above each baby's mat so they have something fun to stare at during yoga (that is what she is mesmerized by in the picture above)
The yoga session starts out with Itsy Bitsy Yoga (poses that help baby to sleep longer, digest better, and grow stronger). In our first class Carys didn't even really want to do the poses because she was so excited to be in a new environment with new sights to take in. She also seemed to really enjoy socializing with the other babies in the class :)  Carys is also always very vocal during class, just like she is at home... she's always talking! Oh, and in our second class Carys rolled over from her stomach to her back for the first time! Now, going into our 4th week, she is getting better at letting me do the poses with her and she focuses a little bit more on me instead of everything and every body else (she is a curious little baby!) After we do yoga with the babies we let them rest for a little while on their mats while the moms do yoga... and during our first session Carys actually fell asleep while i was doing yoga... talk about helping baby sleep better! We have so much fun at yoga, and I really have enjoyed getting to see other babies and talk with other moms with babies, it's great!
Just recently Carys has become obsessed with her feet (she has been obsessed with her hands for a couple of months now). During yoga she is most interested in rolling from side to side and playing with her feet. So, I have a couple of pictures of Carys in her car seat, right after yoga, trying to grab her feet.
