Happy 11 Months Carys

Carys turned 11 months a few days ago (i'm a little late b/c we just got home from the beach; i'll tell you about our trip in my next post)
she weighs a little over 17 lbs... we had a few set backs last month with her getting sick twice and teething so she lost a little bit of weight but gained it back plus a few more ounces
she was measured a few weeks ago and was a little over 26 inches... she's finally getting taller!!
our happy baby loves crawling around every where and getting into anything that looks interesting to her (which is everything)... today she ate some cat food, i couldn't get it out of her hand fast enough and she shoved it in her mouth... and seemed to enjoy it, lol!

she loves playing with these things (i don't know what they're called, door stoppers?)

she hasn't started walking by herself yet... she's taken a few steps and will stand without holding onto anything for a few seconds. but she doesn't seem to be in any rush to walk. i can tell she wants to but she's still unsure. which is fine with me bc when she starts walking i know i won't be able to confine her in her little play area anymore

she's a talker, well... a babbler i should say, she can't say any real words yet. but she is babbling from the time she wakes up until she goes to sleep, sometimes she "talks" in her sleep. when people meet her for the first time they always say, "she's a talker!" and i say "yup, just like her daddy!"
she has "conversations" with us and she'll use had gestures and shrug her shoulders, its so funny

she still only has 2 teeth but her top two teeth are coming in, she has been teething like crazy and she is not a happy baby when she's teething! she is very cranky and chews on EVERYTHING

Is it possible for an 11 month old to have temper tantrums? If Carys doesn't get her way she has a mini meltdown, like if we take something away from her that she's not supposed to be playing with she'll throw herself on the floor and start crying. even if she is playing by herself and gets frustrated with a toy she gets upset.
i already have anxiety about the terrible twos.

but she is soooo cute you can never get mad at her, unless its 5am and she's been crying in her crib for 20 minutes for no reason... yeah, she's been doing that lately

another new thing she's been doing recently is imitating people. its so much fun to play with her and make silly sounds and have her imitate you. just today at the chiropractor, we were in the waiting area and this little girl sighed and then of course Carys had to sigh too... I just started laughing, she seriously cracks me up all the time!

Happy 11 Months Carys! you are growing into such a beautiful human being, inside and out. you put a smile on my face every single day :)
